On 18 April 2026, Routes of Piemonte was publicly presented for the first time as part of Biennale Tecnologia 2026, one of Italy’s leading events dedicated to exploring the relationship between technology, culture, and society.
Hosted at Circolo dei Lettori in Turin, the roundtable discussion “Ricadute e impatto degli Itinerari Culturali del Consiglio d’Europa” brought together Andrea Archinà, Edoardo Cavagnino, Federica Matteoli, and Vitor Marques to reflect on the contribution of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe to heritage enhancement, community engagement, and sustainable territorial development.
The event marked the first public presentation of Routes of Piemonte and provided an opportunity to introduce the platform’s vision, mission, and long-term objectives within a broader cultural and institutional context.
During the discussion, Routes of Piemonte was presented as a regional coordination platform dedicated to strengthening cooperation among Council of Europe Cultural Routes active in Piemonte while also fostering connections with the Cultural Routes not yet represented in the region. By creating a shared framework for dialogue and collaboration, the platform seeks to connect cultural heritage, local communities, institutions, and tourism stakeholders around a common vision for sustainable territorial development.
The presentation highlighted the importance of increasing the visibility of Cultural Routes across the region, encouraging knowledge exchange and supporting collaborative initiatives capable of generating cultural, social, and economic value for local communities. Particular attention was also given to the role of Cultural Routes as instruments for international cooperation and as bridges between local heritage and wider European networks.
As the first public introduction of the initiative, the event represented an important step in establishing the identity of Routes of Piemonte and opening new opportunities for future collaboration across the region and beyond.
