On 19 March 2026, Routes of Piemonte continued to strengthen its collaboration with the University of Turin through a guest lecture delivered within the Master's Programme in Designing, Communication and Management of Cultural Tourism (https://www.masterculturaeturismo.it).
The session featured contributions from Michela Garis of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and Edoardo Cavagnino, President of the Association of Historic Cafés of Turin and Piemonte. Together, the speakers offered complementary perspectives on the region’s economic, cultural, and institutional landscape.
Within this context, Edoardo Cavagnino presented Routes of Piemonte, introducing the platform’s vision and objectives as a regional coordination initiative dedicated to strengthening cooperation among Cultural Routes connected to Piemonte. The presentation highlighted the importance of building synergies between cultural heritage, local communities, institutions, and tourism stakeholders in order to support sustainable territorial development.
Particular attention was given to the opportunities created by Cultural Routes in Piemonte, where a significant number of Council of Europe Cultural Routes intersect. Routes of Piemonte was presented as a platform designed to encourage dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative projects capable of generating cultural, social, and economic value across the region.
The lecture provided students with an opportunity to engage with current developments in the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe sector while reinforcing the growing relationship between Routes of Piemonte and the academic community.
